Terms of Service

MyPerfectRecord is an independent court reporter training platform that allows users to practice transcription, receive accuracy grading, and track their progress over time. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), the National Verbatim Reporters Association (NVRA), or any other professional credentialing organization. Results on this platform do not constitute official certification evaluations.

You must be at least 13 years old to use MyPerfectRecord. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One account per person — you may not share your account with others.

MyPerfectRecord offers paid subscription plans billed on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring basis.

• Free Trial: Where offered, free trials are limited to one per person. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional trials is prohibited.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access through the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days.
• Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract content from the platform.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or free trials.
• Share, resell, or redistribute platform content including audio tracks or transcripts.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform.
• Misrepresent scores or results obtained on the platform.

All audio tracks, transcript content, grading logic, design, and software on MyPerfectRecord are owned by or licensed to us. Audio tracks may be generated using AI tools. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without our written permission.

Your transcription submissions are your own content. By submitting them to the platform, you grant us a limited license to process and store them for the purpose of providing grading and performance analytics to you.

Grading on MyPerfectRecord is based on the 95% accuracy standard commonly referenced in court reporter certification preparation. However:

• Results here are not official certification scores.
• Passing on this platform does not guarantee passing any official certification exam.
• We make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of our grading system.
• The platform is a practice tool only and is provided "as is."

We aim to keep MyPerfectRecord available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason we deem appropriate. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyPerfectRecord and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or failure to achieve a desired training outcome. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the state where the operator is located.
